Adjustment Instructions:

To adjust pull weight:
Turning the screw counter clockwise will reduce the pull weight. Using a 5/64 hex wrench you will back out the screw and the pull weight drops. One turn equals roughly 1lb. of pull weight.

To adjust Sear Engagement (Creep):
Turning the screw counter clockwise will increase the sear engagement. Using a .050 hex wrench and a 3/16 wrench to loosen the nut you will turn the screw counter clockwise to increase the sear engagement. This will cause the trigger to creep or move before firing. Each trigger is hand tested on an action. Timney does not recommend adjusting the sear engagement.

Making the perfect rifle
I installed this trigger on my Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 in .30-06. I set the trigger to 2.5 pounds and instead of putting the action back into the Weatherby stock, I installed it into a new Bell & Carlson composite. The rifle feels brand new and the trigger is fantastic! Took the rifle to the range to sight in and my groups were touching! I'm planning on buying another Weatherby and will definitely install the same trigger.

Vanguard Deluxe #611
I bought and installed this trigger on a Vanguard series 2 Deluxe. It was a simple installation. The only issue I had was the safety would not go all the way to the fire position. I took a dremel and trimmed a small amount of wood alowing the safety to go to full fire.
This is my third Timney trigger all have been easy installations and have worked flawlessly.

Vanguard Deluxe #611
Purchased this for a new Vanguard deluxe I bought, it is simple to install one screw. The only issue I had was on the stock right where the safety goes into the "fire" position. I had to remove a very small amount of wood to allow the safety to go all the way forward to reach the full fire position. This is a single stage trigger, unlike the Vanguard factory. This is a great trigger you will not be sorry if you buy it.

What Is Trigger Pull weight?

Pull weight is the amount of pressure, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle. Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.

If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.

The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.

Below is a guide for pull weight selection:

2-2.5 pounds

Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.

3-3.5 pounds

By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.

4.0 pounds+

Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.
