Savage accutrigger
I purchased a savage rifle with an accutrigger, for the first 6 months it was great, but them it started acting up, while at the range the trigger would lock up, so I adjusted the trigger as they recommended [tighting the screw] it worked for awhile but then again it started locking up again. Went on line and purchased a Timney trigger replaced it, so far I'm very happy with the trigger, I don't have to worry about it locking up. I do wish I can find a metal trigger guard, this is the second plastic trigger guard that broke. Savage needs to make a metal replacement trigger guard for there accutriggers.

Big difference from acu trigger!
I have a model 10 BA Stealth Savage and this trigger is an instant upgrade right from the install...The ability to fine tune the sear engagment, saftey tension, and poundage and set to tune to exactly how you need it! HIGHLY recommend you buy this trigger..Well worth the money for this quality..Will be doing a video review on this trigger

Great replacement!
I had problems with my Target Accutrigger not holding its weight setting and locking up on bolt close. I decided to try the Timney after their excellent customer service on a broken part on the 510 in my Remington 700. I am well pleased with the feel of this Timney in my Target action Savage. It breaks very much like my 510.

What Is Trigger Pull weight?

Pull weight is the amount of pressure, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle. Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.

If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.

The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.

Below is a guide for pull weight selection:

2-2.5 pounds

Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.

3-3.5 pounds

By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.

4.0 pounds+

Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.
