Most of my triggers have been for Remington 700's and after such success with those I tried the Ruger American trigger and was absolutely amazed! The trigger has no creep, crisp clean break! Increase the accuracy of my rifle tenfold I highly recommend any timney trigger!!!
Easy Installation, instruction easy to follow. Extremely crisp, shipped at 2.5 lbs., adjusted down to 1.5 and amazing. Couldn't be happier
Once you go precision trigger, you can't go back. I swapped in a Timney at 1.5 lbs before I every fire my Ruger American 300 BLK.
After you've used these triggers, you'll be swapping out all your factory junk!
i have this in my 6.5 creedmoor and making 1300 yard shots this trigger makes it easy
The timney trigger for the ruger American is without a doubt the best thing I have done to this gun for accuracy. My American is chambered in 308 and I put three next to each other across top of bulls eye at 300 yards. Need I say more. Oh and I'm just your average hillbilly.
Pull weight is the amount of pressure, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle.
Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.
If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.
The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.
Below is a guide for pull weight selection:
Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.
By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.
Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.
