There is no comparison after swapping out the the trigger with a Timney. The trigger is smoother and crisper and set to 2lbs.

Excellent trigger
I have a Ruger American .308. I thought the stock trigger was good, but didn't like the lever in the trigger and it wouldn't adjust low enough for me. Installed Timney trigger and adjusted down to about 2 1/2 pounds. My target groups improved, and it is excellent for deer hunting. Killed three deer from a stand this season, 130-150 yards, all hit exactly where I was aiming. When you get the crosshair where you want it just touch the trigger and you'll have him, even if you're heart rate is up and you're breathing a little faster than normal. Highly recommend.

Best triggers ever!
Most of my triggers have been for Remington 700's and after such success with those I tried the Ruger American trigger and was absolutely amazed! The trigger has no creep, crisp clean break! Increase the accuracy of my rifle tenfold I highly recommend any timney trigger!!!

Best of the best
Absolutely awesome!

Once you go precision trigger, you can't go back. I swapped in a Timney at 1.5 lbs before I every fire my Ruger American 300 BLK.

After you've used these triggers, you'll be swapping out all your factory junk!

What Is Trigger Pull weight?

Pull weight is the amount of pressure, in ounces or pounds, required to fire the trigger. Or in other words, how hard you have to squeeze the trigger to shoot your rifle. Timney Trigger experts at our Phoenix, Arizona plant hand-test every trigger in its intended action and then set the pull weight at our factory standard, 3 lbs.

If you prefer a different pull weight you simply select it from the drop down above and your Timney Trigger will be customized to your preference.

The #1 reason to replace your factory trigger with a Timney is accuracy. A lighter, crisper, more consistent trigger pull will make you more accurate with your firearm.

Below is a guide for pull weight selection:

2-2.5 pounds

Light trigger pull weights are great for people shooting lighter weight rifles as they can help keep you on target during the shot. Also common weights for target shooting from a bench.

3-3.5 pounds

By far the most common trigger pull weights -this is great for virtually all applications including target shooting, hunting and 3-gun competitions.

4.0 pounds+

Heavy trigger pull weights are good for cold weather hunting or applications where you may be shooting with gloves on.
